Teaching Graphic Design to Med School Students

On January 30, 2018, Rose teamed up with Gil Hanson to teach a hands-on workshop to second year med students enrolled at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Jefferson. The College within the College Design Track (JeffDESIGN) teaches students to apply design thinking to solve healthcare challenges and is the first-of-its-kind for a U.S. medical school. Director Bon Ku, MD, MPP invited Rose and Gil to speak to the students about graphic design. The workshop had one main goal: to change the students' perception about the role of graphic design from pure image-making to problem-solving solutions.
